Raul Martinez, CP


Raul has over 20 years’ experience in aero-triangulation, digital orthophoto generation and planimetric and topographic mapping. He has completed thousands of acres of mapping throughout the upper-Midwest and off-shore. His work has included an array of topographic forms, such as coal mine field development and reclamation, wind farm developments, transmission line corridors, and municipal and rural developments. He has extensive DOT experience with MnDOT, NDDOT, TxDOT and Caltrans. Raul is responsible for staff supervision, project management, job scheduling and final QA/QC of our final geospatial products deliveries.

Andrew Werle

Chief Pilot

Andrew is a Commercial Pilot and Unmanned Aircraft Systems operator who has worked for KBM since graduating from the University of North Dakota in 2017. He is responsible for planning and executing manned and unmanned flight missions. Andrew manages the aircraft and equipment operated by KBM and assists with stereo compilation of planimetric features.

Christian Sovak, CMT-Lidar

LiDAR Technician

Christian began working for KBM while finishing his degree in Geography at the University of North Dakota. He has many years of experience operating the ALS70 lidar unit and processing lidar data. Christian offers experience in a variety of lidar mapping projects such as powerline corridor mapping, DOT, and open mines. He is also responsible for  aerial image processing used in our photogrammetric applications.

Casey Olstad

LiDAR Technician/Sensor Operator

As a Lidar Technician/Sensor Operator, Casey’s responsibilities include working on specialized LiDAR surveys, digital orthophotography, and photogrammetry projects. Other tasks include assisting with data processing such as calibration, cleaning and classification, and producing highly accurate mapping for engineering and transportation design applications.
