As a LiDAR Processing Technician at KBM Geospatial, a Widseth Company, you’ll be working on challenging projects providing aerial mapping services to clients throughout the United States. You will work in a team environment along with land survey and engineering professionals on specialized LiDAR surveys, digital orthophotography, and photogrammetry projects.  This position is being posted to employ within our Grand Forks, ND office or possibly our Forest Lake (Wyoming, MN) office pending experience.  If you love working with innovative solutions to meet diverse needs of clients, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Your focus will be on:

  • LiDAR data processing such as calibration, cleaning, classification and finalizing data sets utilizing the TerraSolid Suite and/or LP360 software packages.
  • Producing highly accurate mapping for engineering and transportation design applications.
  • Working in an integrated team approach by sharing and crossing-referencing work processes with other departments.
  • Approaching projects with an attention to detail and a focus on accuracy to ensure achieving quality standards while meeting production schedules.
  • Utilizing effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients.

To be considered for this position you’ll need to meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Two+ years of experience in a LiDAR technician role.
  • Proficient in the TerraSolid Suite and/or LP360 software platforms.
  • Knowledge of Microstation, Summit Evolution, Match-AT, OrthoMaster, OrthoVista and Pix4D is a plus.
  • Orthophoto rectification and aero-triangulation experience is a plus.

KBM GeoSpatial, a Widseth Company, is looking for a Geospatial Imagery Lead to oversee a talented group of individuals working within our Aerial Mapping Department located in Grand Forks, ND.  The position will focus on providing aerial mapping services to process and finalize highly accurate digital orthophotography services to clients throughout the United States. You will work in a team environment along with land survey, engineering, and photogrammetric professionals on specialized digital orthophotography and photogrammetry projects.  If you love working with innovative solutions to meet diverse needs of clients, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Your focus will be on:

  • Overseeing team members and data processing procedures in the production of highly accurate digital orthophotos.
  • Producing highly accurate orthophotos for local government, engineering, and transportation design applications.
  • Working as part of an integrated Geospatial Team.
  • Approaching projects with an attention to detail and a focus on accuracy to ensure achieving quality standards while meeting production schedules.
  • Utilizing effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients.

To be considered for this position you’ll need to meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Five+ years of experience in Digital Orthophoto processing.
  • Orthophoto processing proficiency utilizing processing platforms such as, but not limited to, the Trimble Inpho or OrthoPro processing suites.
  • Adobe Photoshop experience required.
  • Experience with photogrammetric processes utilizing Summit Evolution, Match-AT, OrthoMaster, OrthoVista and Pix4D is a plus.
